Description
Located on a peninsula in west Queen Charlotte, Haydn Turner Campground is the only municipally owned campsite in the Village. Upgraded in 2016 the site boasts old growth spruce trees, black shale beaches and a panoramic view of Bearskin Bay. With two beach walk-in tent sites and six drive-in forest sites the nightly fees are $15 and $20 respectively (GST Included). There are two reserved spots and the rest are first come, first served. Fees are collected daily.

A phone number is listed on the information kiosk. Call the number and a local resident will drop off a supply for a small fee.
The Queen Charlotte recycling depot is located at Ticker's Hauling on the west end of town past the Village Office. The phone number is 250 559 4141 and hours of operation are Sunday, Monday and Tuesday 10am to 4pm.
As per the Village Noise Bylaw 48-2011, please respect your fellow campers and ensure that noise is kept to a minimum between the hours of 11:00 pm and 7:00 am on weekdays and 11:00 pm and 9:00 am on weekends.
Rules & Regulations
1. Campsites must be kept clean and free of attractants for wildlife at all times (e.g., bears, rats, raccoons, etc).
2. Items left in campsite after vacated are to be considered garbage.
3. No more than 6 people are permitted per campsite unless they make up a single-family group.
4. A maximum of 3 pieces of shelter equipment are permitted per site.
5. Campfires must be contained in fire pits and follow safe burning practices.
6. The removal or collection of live wood is prohibited.
7. Alcohol is restricted to a registered campsite only and is prohibited in all public areas including roadways.
8. Fireworks are prohibited in the campsites or wooded areas of the park.
9. Pets must be kept under control at all times.
10. All roadways in the campgrounds must remain open.
