The mighty Battenkill threads its way through the quaint town of Arlington. Tube/kayak your way down the river for a refreshing respite on sultry Vermont days.
For anglers, non-resident fishing licenses are available from the iconic Wayside store in West Arlington. Fly fisherman can try their luck on their own, or take one of the many classes offered by Orvis in Manchester.
We offer coffee and COOKIES 24x7 in the kitchen. We are happy to refer you to great restaurants in Manchester, Dorset, and Bennington.
Water, power and sewer hook-ups are available on the 4X4 wood post. Inside the garage on the bottom shelf to the right as you enter, there is a Host courtesy kit of loaner items designed to get you by until your first provisions trip. Please help yourself. The kit includes:
•Trash bags
•Plastic silverware
•Paper plates
•Plastic cups
•Lighter
•Ziplock bags for pet waste clean up (required use if you brought a pet!)
•Oil Abzorb mat (required use!) for vehicle engine drips
•Folding portable picnic table
•Indoor/outdoor rug
Coffee and cookies are available 24x7 from the Keurig machine in the kitchen. The coffee pods are in a metal storage drawer beneath the Keurig machine. Sugar is on the counter next to the coffee maker. Cream is in the refrigerator.
Limited use of our kitchen is at your disposal. Feel free to use our microwave. We ask that you refrain from using the oven or stove. Put your coffee mugs in the dishwasher after use. We run the dishwasher nightly.
