There are 2 bars and 4 resturants (Home Made for the best breakfasts, Maria Bonita Mexican, Big Mouth Pizza, Sweet Water Grill) in town plus a locally well known French restaurant (Le Chene). Shambala Preserve (run by Tippi Hendren with lots of lions and tigers and elephants) is nearby, Animal Tracts Animals is down the street. We are also home to a few dog rescues, donkey rescues and horse rescues. If you want to venture back into a city Costco is 15 minutes away, Starbucks & Vons are 12 minutes and high riding Magic Mountain @ 1/2 an hour, famous Venice beach under an hour. A serene monasty St Andrews Abby is only 45 minutes from us which has a 1954 rock built smal church with services at noon every day in a lush green valley. Any which way you turn there is something special. The local coyotes trot through periodically and you can enjoy their sing song howls many a night.
