Apparently they are now selling lots for permanent camper sites. I spoke with a realtor who was confused on the details of how a coop works. The entire concept appears fishy and weird. And now reading these reviews I've decided to pass on the deal. I don't need all that stress.

Lovely
Me and my wife and four children have been coming here for 3 year now, We absolute love the place. The owners daughter even made us chocolate soufflé once she and her father John (The campground is run by John) heard it was our birthday. Great campground I highly recommend!

Long time camper
What a wonderful place. I went there and we had a great time. The owners went out of their way to help us with transportation seeing how our boat needed a tow. Fishing was superb and the spot had great views. I’ll be back next year.

BEWARE
The owner is a very odd skittish person. He watches your every single move off the back of his deck that is liberally right smack in the middle of the "campground"...No privacy. There is so many ridiculous rules and they change everyday...The owner needs to be on medication as he is not a stable person. Not worth the money or time. Although the view is absolutely stunning it can not be enjoyed because ... more JOHN the park owner is a very odd person. She was my neighbor and thank God she left. John runs a great park and we are so happy people like MaryE can’t follow the rules. I’ve been here six years and will not be leaving. My kid always enjoy themselves and it’s a safe place. Sorry to disagree with MaryE’s negative review.

Well - this review makes no sense. This is my second season staying here, it is a private farm, and there are rules, but no different then the ones in most campgrounds. The owners are very friendly. There are no bathrooms, nor actual "service" as it is 95% a private seasonal campground. But there is a free marina and boat storage, and it is very reasonably priced. There are plenty of kids around the ... more park on weekends, and Mary's comments are inappropriate and inaccurate.

Funny how you loved it so much but can't put a real name on your review. I'm sure it's the park owner making his own reviews. He cut the wires off to our electric that we pay at our camper. Food went bad. Gross. Also the park owner roams around the park in shorts with no underwear. The shorts have holes in it and his balls literally hang out while he's going around talking to kids. Idk about you but ... more he won't ever be around my kids lol.

Actually we were not thrown out of the park by police. Another issue with the park owner he gave us a fake lease so we had to authority to the grounds but anyways obviously our camper is still there not because we were thrown out. We called the police not the owner because he kept harassing my children. Did you miss the part where I said the camp owner cut the wires to our camper leaving us with no ... more power with a infant?You have no idea what your talking about and I would suggest getting the facts before you comment something now you look just as stupid as the camper ground owner......get a grip.

We were not thrown out of the campgrounds. The owner is a scammer and gave us a fake lease so we had no authority at the campground. The lease was with the previous buyer of the camper. We left the park at 11pm at night because our electric wires were cut by the owner leaving us with no power with a infant. Literally called the cops twice on this guy for harassing small children.

Actually I watched the whole thing from my camper and if you actually knew a little bit about the part you would know the John does not give any leases. When you and anybody else comes to the park he gives you a sheet of rules and then you sign them saying that you will follow them. He is extremly accommodating and goes out of his way to help you. The cop did through you guys out and also said "if ... more you come back with any intentions other than picking up your camper I will come down here and arrest you for trespassing". Do not believe these lies that drug dealers are saying.

Did you not read the part where I said we had no lease we were given a list of rules to sign. The "lease" as the park owner calls it was with the previous buyer. Therfore we are not allowed on the property.....once again because we were scammed like I said 4 times before. Yes the police told us if we came back we would be arrested for trespassing because JOHN lied and said we had no lease. You people ... more are ridiculous. Like I said the owner picks and chooses who he likes and rules bend depending on his mood. CLEARLY the good reviews are from people he treats better than others....Drama.....God forbid you post a review his fellow campers will attack you amf swear they know exactly what's going on.... ANOTHER reason to avoid at all cost....DRAMA

You watched the entire thing from your camper which is pretty far from where we were so I'm not understanding how you "heard" anything. Nobody was around it was late. You only know what John is telling you. We did nothing wrong to get thrown out of the park actually. He was mad because my kid was throwing rocks in the water. Thats how it started. Okay. Don’t listen to the drug dealers
I’m sorry but we actually did hear the entire conversation between you your husband and john as well as the cops. The cop actually told you “will you please shut up for thirty seconds mam”, because you wouldn’t shut your god dang mouth. Me as well as multiple other campers told john all of the other dangerous and rule breaking things that you did, I guess your children throwing rocks into the Marina ... more with he has to pay thousands for it to get dredged was just the last straw. You really should get a hold on all of your children. You DID get kicked out of the park by the police and john doesn’t give you or anyone else a lease for the last time. For the love of god you don’t even own the camper. It really is quite an eyesore, when will you be getting it out of here.

Avoid at all cost
Like others have stated the owner needs to seek help. Don’t trust him, I owned a home there 10 years ago and had to sell after 4 years because the owner is not able to run the place. Every one that has owned a place there in the last 10 years has sold not because it isn’t a nice area it’s because of the owner. Buyers beware
