Always Good for Us
We've been coming once a year for 6 years with the hash house harriers in early december. whenever we've been there it's been clean and well maintained. i've had some interesting chats with the owner about his private museum and collections. always love to roam the property, so many eclectic pieces (e.g., a crashed helicopter prop for awhile) strewn about the property!

We were verbally abused to the owner!
My husband and I came for a quiet weekend. The website advertises a beautiful tranquil artsy community. What we pulled into was a disaster. It’s filthy, trash is everywhere it looks like a hurricane mixed with a junkyard that’s been abandoned. The electricity didn’t work the water smelled like sulfur and to top it all off the owner is the rudest man we’ve ever encountered. We camp with our 43 foot ... more beautiful, brand new RV all over the state of Florida. We have stayed in very upscale RV parks and so so state parks. But I wouldn’t stay at this place if it was free or if they even paid me. Again to top it all off the owner was rude. He cursed at us for not checking in in a timely manner when the manager was the one who asked us to just wait and not check in until we were leaving. He waited until we were about to pull out to come over and start cursing us out. He said he had been watching us from his security cameras and watched us coming and going all weekend. Very very creepy guy. Dropped the F word - totally uncalled for! I will never, ever, EVER be back! BEWARE! Do not go to River boat club!!! Plus if you have a decent sized RV you won’t even get in. It is so tight and so filthy the only reason we stayed was it was late on a Friday night and we didn’t think we had any other options. There’s an RV park next-door that looks really nice called the woods- if we come back to this area we will stay there.
