South Dakota is a beautiful state with a lot to offer RVers. From the stunning Black Hills to the rolling prairies, there's something for everyone. And of course, no trip to South Dakota is complete without a visit to Mount Rushmore National Monument, one of the state's most iconic landmarks.

Located in the Black Hills region of South Dakota, Mount Rushmore is a massive sculpture carved into the side of a mountain. It depicts the faces of four US presidents – George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt – and is a true marvel of engineering and art.

RVing to Mount Rushmore is a popular activity, and there are several campgrounds in the area to choose from. The Mount Rushmore KOA is located just a few miles from the monument and offers full hookup RV sites, as well as tent camping and cabin rentals. It's a convenient spot to stay while you explore the area.

If you're looking for something a little more rustic, the Black Hills National Forest has several campgrounds to choose from, including the Mystic Campground and the Sylvan Lake Campground. These campgrounds offer more basic amenities, but are set in beautiful natural surroundings and are great for those who want to really get away from it all.

No matter where you choose to stay, be sure to allow plenty of time to visit Mount Rushmore and take in all that it has to offer. From the impressively sculpted faces to the beautiful surrounding scenery, it's an experience you won't soon forget. So pack up your RV and head to South Dakota for a trip you'll never forget!
